Pleasant Sunday

Postby Rastislav » Mon Feb 08, 2010 4:51 am

While they have mudslides in California and Pittsburgh had 21 inches of snow, we have had a nice, quiet and pleasant Sunday here in North Central Wisconsin. I shot this brief video this afternoon:

You can also click through it to YouTube and saw it in high definition (1080p).
It's been a while but what a while it was!

Not gonna lie, Rastislav. That video made me want to go to Wisconsin and meditate. It was so pretty with all the snow, and it really was just so.... tranquil. And VERY quiet. I've never been to Wisconsin. Maybe I should.

It is amusing to contrast that video with other weather in other states right now. In addition to California's mudslides and Pittsburgh's 21 inches of snow, I've been reading plenty of news stories online about the "life-threatening" blizzard that is scouring the east coast (apparently from Washington D.C. to Baltimore to New York City (and everywhere in between). Apparently four feet of snow is expected in some areas! Most of my close friends are in New York City because I used to live there, and they keep telling me that Manhattan has basically shut down, that schools are closed, and that everyone is stranded. Crazy.

So now we compare that to this video, or to my home, which is currently sunny with clear skies, and is in the forties. :D

Oh, it's definitely a good place to meditate here.

I live in New York, the world basically stopped dead in it's tracks here, everything was closed or cancelled. This is the most snow we've had in awhile and most still has melted yet!
