Well, at the start of the year I wanted to finish the work on my own 3D video editing software by the end of this year (2009). I worked on it for several months, then my blood sugar went up and I was unable to work on it, and after that I just got busy doing other things.

But right now I needed to show a video in 3D and I needed to edit it and no software could do precisely what it needed, so I wrote a plug-in for Sony Vegas (the video editing package) to fix that video (first it was Lady in Red, then Winter in the Northwoods - yes, that is what it looks like here right now  ).

Then I added a little more functionality and last night produced An Ugly Test with it. I named it the Bororo 3D plug-in, and will release it for anyone to use soon. Anyone with Sony Vegas, that is.

Of course, to view any of the videos linked you need some kind of 3D glasses, the YouTube player will let you choose which type of glasses you have and will play the videos accordingly.
It's been a while but what a while it was!

And last night I have released the plug-in for anyone to use, anyone with the Sony Vegas video editing software. I created a whole new web site just to release one little plug-in.

And I created a brief animation in POVRay with StereoPOV and then assembled it into a 1080p video using my Bororo 3D plug-in. By the way, it took POVRay/StereoPOV 33 hours to render the 600 animated frames. Of course, it really made 1200 frames, 600 left frames + 600 right frames. You can see the video on YouTube. 8)
